Victor James Wright, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), died suddenly at home on April 28, 2012. Dr. Wright was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Bartow.

Dr. Wright was the son of Helena Wright of Philadephia,PA. and the late Richard Wright.

Dr.Wright attended Lincoln University, located in Oxford, Pennsylvania,and Dr.William M.Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Florida Podiatric Medical Association, the American Association of Certified Woundcare, and the Polk County Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Wright was also a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the Virgil Hawkins Auxiliary and the Florida A&M Alumni Association.

Dr. Wright is survived by his wife,Circuit Court Judge Karla Wright of Bartow, FL; two sons: Jahi K. (Kemba) Wright, Orlando, FL, Ameer A. (Shani)Wright, MD, Ormond Beach, FL; Damien A.(Melissa) Moses, Bartow, FL.and Kahlil V.(Sandra)Moses,D.C. West Palm Beach, FL;
three sisters: Carolyn Wright, Philadelphia, PA. Joan Andoh, Mitchellville, MD. and Jean Young, Philadelphia, PA.; three brothers:Charles Hemphill, Philadelphia, PA. Gerald Wright, Philadelphia, PA. and
Steven Wright, Philadelphia, PA.; and six grand children.

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, May 4, 2012 at the funeral home from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church,500 W. Stuart Street, Bartow, FL.
