Ronald W. Smith, Jr aka "DJ Ronnie Ron" 54 of McDonough, GA died Monday April 6, 2026 in McDonough, GA.

Ronald leaves to cherish his precious memory: his beloved wife, Dr. Saundra, of McDonough, GA; his father, Ronald W. Smith Sr., of Lake Wales, FL; his sister, Evita Jacobs, of Jacksonville, FL; his nephew, Kelvin Solomon; his aunts, Mary Denmark of Camden, NJ and Margaret Daniel of Orlando, FL; Uncle, Sammie Johnson of Orlando, FL , his father-in-law, Ronald Burel of McDonough, GA; and his brothers-in-law, David (Danielle) Burel of Alpharetta, GA; and R. Anthony (Shawana) Burel of Chicago, IL.

He also leaves behind his first cousins: Wanda D. Neal (Del), Donree Peterson, Alicia Gaskins, David M. Smith Jr. (Wanda), Joni D. Schofield (Daryl), Michael D. Smith Sr., (Carmencita), R. Dallas Smith (Bonnie), Raeshawna Upson and John "Chad"Gaines, along with the Smith and Kicklighter families.

Ronald was blessed with loving Godparents, Winfred and Juanita Verreen, and a loving Godsister, Sheila Carroll of Orlando, FL. He also leaves behind a host of other cousins, extended family members, and special friends who affectionately called him "Brother."

He will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will take place at Gause Funeral Home, 625 S. Holland Parkway, Bartow, FL from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, April 24, 2026.

Viewing with the family will take place at Mt. Olive AME Church 2525 W. Church St Orlando FL, 32805 from 10:00 am - 11:00 AM, Saturday April 25 2026. Funeral service will follow at 11:00
