Reginald Rene' Silas was born on September 2, 1962 to Dr. Samuel ("Big Red") L. Silas, Sr. and Mary B. Silas, in Carbondale, Illinois. He was a member and ordained as an Elder, and Deacon at Mountainside Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Decatur, GA.

He is survived by his wife: Sandra M. Silas; daughter: Lacy M. Silas; son: Austin L. Silas; father: Dr. Samuel ("Big Red") L. Silas; mother: Mary B. Silas; sisters: April Y. Silas, Kimberly M. Silas; brother: Terrance P. Silas; brother and sister in law: Rickie and Claire Benson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral service was held on January 18, 2017 at Mountainside Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Decatur, GA.

Graveside service will be held on January 31, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery, Bartow, FL with Gause Funeral Home presiding.
