Ophelia Edwina Brown was born on March 18, 1962, in Bartow, Florida, to the late Johnnie Lee Johnson and Gertrude Henderson Johnson.  Ophelia passed away on December 25, 2023 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina at the age of 61.

Ophelia is survived by her children Tanishia Charon Henderson, Larry James Brown Jr., Jemayel Fabian Brown, and Ashley Marie Brown, grandchildren: Shye- Anna Ophelia Nee-cole Henderson, Jemayel Shamari Brown, Sierra ReNesha E'Veda wright, A'niyah Zamaria Mitchell, Kevin Carl Valentine Jr., Keveon Lamar Valentine, Jemayel Fabian Brown Jr., Jalaysia Jemayel Brown, Keziah Monet Brown, Kamylah Marie Jemayel Brown, and Todd Jacobi Cook Jr., great-grandchildren:Jamari Samir Dyett Jr., and Jamar Nashon Dyett, :siblings Anne Dunson (Brian), Johnnie Johnson Jr., (Tonya), LaSharrell Richardson (Aaron), Saxon Johnson, and Annaleigh Bufkin; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Gause Funeral Home, 625 S. Holland Parkway, Bartow, FL on Saturday January 6 at 12:00 noon.
