Obie James Childs, age 83, of Lakeland, FL, died Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Valencia Hills Heath & Rehabilitation Center in Lakeland, FL. He was a member of the Zion Hope Baptist Church, Lakeland, FL.

He leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife, Sally; devoted children: Derald Todd Childs, Chequeita Lewis, Felicia Childs, Kristopher (La'Quisha) Childs and Kennard (Chari) Childs; loving grandchildren: Todd Childs, Kelly Lewis, Allyson Lewis, Ashton Childs, Destiny Childs, Kyla Childs, Kyndall Childs, Khloe' Childs, and Karter Childs; a great grandchild: London Lewis; brothers: Clarence (Jessie) Childs, Ted Childs, and Eric Zinnermon; and a host of family and friends.

Viewing will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Zion Hope Baptist Church, 504 Plateau Avenue, Lakeland, FL, 33815.  Funeral service will also be at Zion Hope Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 11, 2020. All persons attending the viewing and/or funeral service must wear a face mask.
