Mattie Parks, age 79, of Bartow, Florida, passed away quietly on April 24, 2023, in Orlando, Florida. "Teddy" as she was affectionately known was born on April 15, 1944, to the late Lenora Rose and Odis Parks.

Mattie received her early education in the Polk County School System where she graduated from the historic Union Academy High School in the class of 1962.

Mattie is proceeded in death by her mother: Lenora Rose and Father Odis Parks. She leaves to cherish her memories: Sister-in-law Idella Parks, Winter Haven, FL; four Nieces: Shalita Parks-Stribling, Tampa, FL, Charlene Parks-Wilson, Winter Haven, FL, Leschael Toyette Parks, Riverview, FL, Windy Parks, Monroe, GA; and nephew: Robert Parks, Jr. Riverview, FL.

A Memorial Service will be held at Gause Funeral Home, 625 S. Holland Parkway, Bartow, FL on Saturday June 3 at 11:00 AM.
