Marjorie Newkirk, age 71, of Pierce, FL, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at home.
She was a member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church-Pierce. She was the daughter of the late Frank Scott and the late Iris Scott.
She is survived by her husband: Alphonso Newkirk, Pierce,Fl; three daughters: Carla Newkirk, Los Angeles, CA, Sylvia Newkirk-Ma, Los Angeles, CA, Ami Newkirk, Lakeland, FL; one son: Alphonso Newkirk, Jr., Lakeland, FL; three sisters: Betty Galloway, West Palm Beach, FL, Alma D'Oliveira, St. Cloud,FL, Joyce Carter, Lake Wales, FL; one brother: Joseph Scott, Gordon Chapel, FL, five grand children,and one great-grand child.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, December 20, 2013 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 5705 Johnson Avenue, Pierce, Fl, at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 21, 2013.
Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow,FL.
