Manford Hymes, age 81, of Gordonville, FL died Friday, June 23, 2017 at Bartow Regional Medical Center in Bartow, FL. He served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Hymes, Gordonville, FL; six sons: Rev. Manford (Panchetta) Hymes, Jr. Lakeland, FL, Alton Hymes, Bartow, FL, Malcolm(Belinda) Hymes, Atlanta, GA, Corey (Monica) Hymes, Douglasville, GA, Cedric Hymes, Bartow, FL, Darron (Rebecca) Hymes, Orlando, FL; four daughters: Bonnie Malone, Chicago, IL, Kat (Willie) Hughes, Eutica, NY, Debbie (Ira) Hymes, Polk City, FL, Nikkie (Andrew) Martin, Bartow, FL; two sisters: Ernestine Swann, Rochester, NY, Elouise (Willie) H. Young, Rochester, NY; one brother: Marvin Hymes, Tampa, FL; 56 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will take place at Gause Funeral Home, 625 S. Holland Parkway, Bartow, FL where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, June 30, 2017.  Funeral service will be at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 1460 E. Seminole Trail, Bartow, FL at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Interment will be at Goodhope Cemetery, Gordonville, FL.
