Mabel Pickett Forney, age 76, of Lakeland, Florida, died Friday, April 25, 2014, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Florida.
She was a member of the Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Lakeland where she was the Chairperson of the Pastors Aide Committee for four years
and Co-Chair of the Bible study Ministry.

She was the daughter of the late Edgar Pickett and the late Ethel Pickett. She is survived by one daughter:Lynda (Ebbie) Zimmerman, Lakeland, FL;
two sons: Adrian (Laverne) L. Griffin, Riveria Beach, FL, and John (Marcella) Griffin, Jr., Athens, AL; one brother: Edgar (Lena) Pickett, Jr., Lakeland, FL; 12 grand children; and four great-grand children.

Memorial services  Sat.  May 3, 2014 at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church 1645 Webster Ave. North, Lakeland, Fl.  12 Noon
