James Lamar Strong, age 82, of Bradley, FL, died Sunday, October 5,2014, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL. He was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Alvin Strong. He was the brother of the late Benny Strong; the late Mattie Watkins; and the late Juanita Kilpatrick.

He was a member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Bradley.

He is survived by one daughter: Carolyn Strong, Lakeland, FL; four neices: Cynthia Kilpatrick, Atlanta, GA; Jerolie Strong, Lakeland, FL; Keysha Strong, Lakeland, FL; Edtrick Watkins, Atlanta, GA; three nephews, Tondrick Watkins, Atlanta, GA; Minister LeRon Strong, (LaDwayna), Lakeland, FL; Spencer Kilpatrick, Chicago, IL, a host of cousins, sorrowing friends and other relatives.

Arrangements are being handled by Gause Funeral Home, 625 S. Holland Parkway, Bartow, FL. The family will receive friends at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Bradley on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 5 - 7 PM.

Funeral service will be at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 155 Church Street, Bradley, FL at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 18, 2014.
