James Vanderbilt Honors, age 80, of Lakeland, FL, died Friday, June 26, 2020, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL. He was a member of the Mt. Sinai A. M. E. Church in Lakeland, FL.

He is survived by his wife: Evelyn Honors, Lakeland, FL; one daughter: Inetta (Malcolm) Bennett, Lakeland, FL; three sons: Eric (Brenda) V.  Honors, Lakeland, FL, Rev. Reginald (Donna) K. Honors, Houston, TX, Alan (Jasmine) Honors, Houston, TX; two sisters: Marva (Warren) Moreland, Mulberry, FL, Betty (Charles) Smith, Lakeland, FL; one brother: Ellis B. Honors, Lakeland, FL; and nine grandchildren.

Viewing at Gause Funeral Home, 625 S. Holland Parkway, Bartow, FL . Thursday July 2, 2020, 5:00 PM to 7:00PM. Graveside service will be at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow, FL at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 3, 2020. All persons attending the visitation and/or funeral must wear a face mask.

Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow, FL.
