James Albert Brown, age 71, of Lakeland, FL, died Wednesday,April 10, 2013, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL. He was
a member of the St. John AME Church of Bowling Green, FL.

He was the son of the late David Brown and the late Katie Brown

He is survived by his wife: Betty Brown, step-mother Lucy Brown, Sumner, MS;four daughters:
Maxine Brown, Chicago, IL
Marie Brown, Chicago, IL
Elizabeth Cherry, Wauchula, FL, and Pamela Brown, Tampa, FL; two sons:Michael Brown, Chicago, IL; and Lewis Brown, Chicago, IL; five sisters:Bessie Brown, Wauchula, FL, Leslie Brown, Mulberry, FL,Ruby Brown, Sumner, MS, Janet Barnes, Jackson, MS,and
Evo Fairlee, Sumner, MS;four brothers: Carl Brown, Wauchula, FL,Johnny Brown, Wauchula, FL,
Verry Fairlee, St. Louis, MO,and
Tommy Logan, St. Louis, MO; 12 grand children, and four great-grand children.


The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, April 19, 2013 at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM First Baptist Church 4531 US Hwy. 17 in Bowling Green, FL on Saturday, April 20, 2013.

Interment will be at Bowling Green
