Carrie C. Vickers, age 96, of Bartow, FL, died Saturday, May 28, 2022, in Gainesville, FL. She was a native of Columbia, South Carolina and a lifelong member of St. James AME Church of Bartow, FL where she served as musician for the church's Inspirational Choir. She also, at one time, served as musician at New Mount Zion AME Church in Bartow.

She leaves to mourn a Son: Leo Edison Longworth (Patricia), Bartow, FL; two Daughters: Sharon Longworth, Gainesville, FL, Sally Patricia Ann Jones, Lakeland, FL; two Sisters: Helen Harvey, Louise Dorsey; one Brother: William (Doris) Cooper; eight Grand Children: Donald L. Veney, Marcus E. Packer, Leo Longworth II, Kim Tucker Haynes (Leon), Shannon Jones, Nicholas Thomas, Kai Oneal, Carli Rucker, great-grandchildren including a special great-daughter Chelsea Tucker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Gause Funeral Home, 625 S. Holland Parkway, Bartow, FL. Funeral service will be at St. James AME Church 795 S. 4th Avenue Bartow, FL. 33830 at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 3, 2022.
