Adolphus Mathis, age 65, of Brooklyn, NY, died Friday, September 15, 2017, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. He served  in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife: Leonore D. Mathis; one daughter: Tara (Jerome) Warren, Bryan, TX; three sons: Brandon Mathis, Dunwoody, GA; Adolphus Bernard Mathis, Ft. Pierce, FL, Deron Mathis, Hearne, TX; five sisters: Tru (Bill) Douglas, Bartow, FL, Oretha Dawson, Winter Haven, FL, Gloria Williams, Annie Pearl Hadley, Lakeland, FL, Pricilla (Kenny) Squire, Lakeland, FL; two brothers: Reginald Robinson, Winter Haven, FL, Fred (Teresa) Robinson, Bartow, FL; and 11 grand children.

Viewing will be at the Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, September 22, 2017.  Funeral service will be at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 430 7th Avenue Bartow, FL at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 23, 2017.

Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Mulberry, FL.
